Centering around Esther, a goth girl who finds her way back to the church she once called home, Sanctuary is a story about love, loss, pain, and fear. Sanctuary is an honest conversation between two people who have been hurt deeply by the church that once loved them, one who stayed and one who left, and asks the question: how can God be a father when our own fathers too often fall short?
